When I took over the office of President, the economy was in shambles thanks to Bush and his cronies. Business were struggling, but they were making it. I am so glad to say that most of those businesses are no longer struggling today, because they are no longer in business, I have made those businesses struggle less! (applause) Also, when I took office, unemployment was at a horrendous 4.5%. America can do better. I took that number, and I more than doubled it, and now...(applause) and now, it is almost at 11%, isn't that amazing. I have fixed that problem, you know, the one caused by the Bush Administration and his cronies (Democrats booing Bush administration). Now, come on, be nice!
I have taken the struggling car companies, and I have made them part of the government so that they no longer have to struggle with their own money, now they can struggle with the American peoples money instead, Bush would have never thought of that! (thunderous applause). I, Barack Obama, single handily saved all of the banks by forcing them to spend all of your hard earned cash on new bank buildings, and not loaning you, the American people any more money, but making sure that all they are going to do is trade that money among themselves so that they can get rich again, so I can blame Bush and his cronies for the next bank crises. (applause)
Now, lets not forget some of my campaign promises that I would have kept if it wasn't for Bush and his cronies (democrats boo again) okay, okay, um, uh, um, uh, um, uh, okay, the teleprompter is back. I would have healed the oceans with my touch, but Bush and the minority party blocked me from getting to the ocean so I could touch and heal it, so it is also the Republicans fault and not just George Bush's fault. (applause from Democrats). And what about global warming. Heck, just the other day is was 12 degrees in East Texas! I think I may have cooled the earth down a little too much with my skills! (thunderous laughter). I mean, come on, Bush was too stupid to cool the earth, but I obviously have it down! (more laughter, Bush was dumb chant from Democrat side of the building) Quiet down now, quiet down.
Let us also discuss the state of Massachusetts. Ted Kennedy's seat went to a man who rode the same anger at Bush to victory that I did in my masterful campaign that i ran alone and by my most awesome self. (confused applause) I think we all need to understand that I alone am the answer to all of America's questions, and no one else.
And finally, I promised to get health care reform done in less than a year. Did I? Yes, but the 40 republicans in the senate used the left over George Bush will power and blocked me!! I could have brought affordable health care to all (except the rich of course, they would be paying out the ...) (monstrous applause) but the party of no stopped us. If you are unhappy like mass. was, why not vote for a Democrat instead of a Republican next time, I mean, really, your are mad at Bush so you vote in a Republican? that don't make no sense!!
In closing, I would like to once again remind you of what a success my first year in office was, how I have fixed everything I could, but it was hard to fight for all of you little people with George Bush fighting so hard against me at every corner that I turned. Remember, hope for change, the hope of the change is the change that you have all hoped for in (applause rising from the Democrats) the hope that will bring the change that America needs!!! (applause now deafening)
Thank you, and the Deity of your choosing bless Barack Obama!!!!

From the Donkey's Mouth

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 234px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_10HzqOwU5wI/Svy1ljPpdiI/AAAAAAAAAFc/aiKNpTqJYl8/s320/olbermann_lg.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5403393309658412578" />
This was some speech from Keith Olbermann's show from October 13, 2009. I don't even think I need to commentate on it at all. Just let it soak in. Then you will need a shower.

OLBERMAN: “…my dad … luckier than at least 45,000 Americans, because as discovered in a new study conducted by Harvard University and the Cambridge Health Alliance, that’s how many of us are dying each year because we don’t have insurance.
The number is horrible. But when it’s contrasted to what faced my father that night, it is unforgivable, because as Cambridge’s summary of the findings put it: deaths associated with lack of health insurance now exceed those caused by many common killers such as kidney disease.”

OLBERMANN: My father had less to fear that night from bad kidneys than he would have if he hadn’t had insurance. And yet we let this continue. You and I, this society, our country, Democrats and Republicans, this is the study that congressman from Florida quoted, about which the Republicans demanded an apology when they should have been standing there shrieking, demanding that we fix this.

OLBERMANN: Uninsured working age Americans have a 40 percent higher risk of death than their privately insured counterparts. People, in short, are dying for lack of money.

Dying as surely as they did when Charles Dickens wrote about the exact same problem, a boy who couldn’t get sufficient medical care for his affliction, of the underprivileged suffering not just privation but death as an uncomfortable mode silently and unseeingly through the streets of London. The book was called “A Christmas Carol” and the boy Dickens imagined was called “Tiny Tim.” And it was published on the 19th of December, 1843.

It is 166 years later and the problem is not only still with us, it is getting worse. The mortality rate among Americans under the age of 65 who are uninsured is 40 percent higher than those with insurance. In 1993, a similar study found the difference was only 20 percent. We are moving backwards.

We are letting people die because they do not have insurance? What’s worst is that barring meaningful health care reform now, this will only grow. The difference between the surveys from 1993 and now suggest: this fatal insurance gap is growing by about 1 percent per year. Your chances of dying because you don’t have insurance are now 40 percent higher than those who have it. By extrapolation, three years from now, your chances will be 43 percent higher.

OLBERMANN: Your chances of dying because you used to smoke compared to those who never smoked, are only 42 percent higher. You heard that right! At the current rate in 2012, you will be more fortunate, more secure, more long-lived if you used to SMOKE than if you don’t have insurance!!

OLBERMANN: This is the country you want? This is the country you will accept? Do those other people in this country have meaning to you? Or are they just extras in your movies? Backgrounds in your painting? Choruses in your solo?

Without access to insurance for all of us, and the only way we get it is with the government supplying the gaps-just like it does in flood insurance for God’s sake-that fatal gap will just keep growing. The 45 percent higher likelihood of death for the uninsured compared to the insured by 2014. By 2022, the figure will be 53 percent higher — 53 percent.

Press Release

Circa Oct. 4, 2009
Whitehouse Texas
Benjamin Dieter has announced that he is comming out of retirement for the 2009 season as a Denver Bronco fan. He sure said "I" alot in the speech. I don't know if any of you read or say the speech, I went on and read it after he delivered it. It was very generic, and very non descript, alot of "do your bests" and "try hard" and dont let the man get you down"s. For being such a great speaker, he doesn't really say alot. He watched the struggle of a man who had single handedly (is that a word?) taken a team that wasn’t a super bowl contender to the super bowl. The young boy of 11 dreamed of the Broncos. He fell in love with the Broncos. He became a bigger and bigger (the size of his fandom and the size of his belly) fan of the Broncos and had to watch them struggle through two more Super bowl losses to the Redskins and the 49ers. The 80’s were a rough decade for the young boy and for John Elway and his Broncos.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 280px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_10HzqOwU5wI/Sgsgz9fJOnI/AAAAAAAAACs/RfIMp9JbRdU/s320/dorsett_denver.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335394260601092722" />

But they both pressed on. The boy grew into a teenager and eventually graduated from high school, now with a huge collection of Broncos clothes and John Elway football cards. He even saved cards of other Bronco players, you know, the lesser know Broncos. He watched every year religiously, through the losing years under coaches Dan Reeves<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 190px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_10HzqOwU5wI/SgshNgdhUaI/AAAAAAAAAC0/r459AxjBHls/s200/2712-coach131.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335394699486253474" />
and Wade Phillips. Then they hired a man named Mike Shanahan. And he brought the Broncos something that Elway was missing all those super bowl loosing years.<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 186px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_10HzqOwU5wI/Sgshrm4lyaI/AAAAAAAAAC8/BTDKBtcmxYs/s200/phillips.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335395216606480802" />
A running game. The boy (now a young man) was happy that his team looked like it may be back on top again. The Broncos made a great run in 1996 which ended in the worst way possible, with Denver loosing to Jacksonville at home to end what was to be the season of the Broncos. Elway was devastated, and so was the young man. The young man, now a college student, was sorely disappointed with the end to his teams season. But he pressed on as a fan. He wasn’t going to give up just because his team was knocked out of the Playoffs way too early. He was a true fan. Almost nothing would take away his passion for Bronco football.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 174px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_10HzqOwU5wI/SgsiAXvFN0I/AAAAAAAAADE/_kpHrvWznOg/s200/mshanahan.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335395573317318466" />

Of course, everyone remembers what happened the next two years. The Denver Broncos and John Elway became Super bowl champions in back to back seasons, staring the 1999 season 13-0 before loosing their first game (Mercury Morris finally breathed). The Broncos were on top of the world. And so was the young man. He was in the prime of his Bronco life, at the young age of 24. He was on top of the football world, as his team had won back to back super bowls. <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 128px; height: 200px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_10HzqOwU5wI/SgsiWZs-HyI/AAAAAAAAADM/liBKWPidJEw/s200/elway6125.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335395951802457890" />

Then, devastation hit. John Elway announced his retirement and actually retired (take a hint from that Brett Farve).<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 183px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_10HzqOwU5wI/SgsinIUVaMI/AAAAAAAAADU/jtkEs1xMzlE/s200/brett-favre.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335396239193499842" />
Bronco fans were saddened that he was calling it quits, and our young Bronco fan took it particularly hard. He was on top of the world, hoping for the first 3-peat in the history of the NFL, but now it wasn’t to be. With Elway’s retirement, a 3-peat was out of the question. His hopes dashed, he wandered aimlessly through the off-season wondering what would become of him and his team. He was confused, alone and afraid. Should he continue to follow his team without the team’s leader and hero? Should he burn all of his bronco stuff including his two Elway jerseys? Should he eat another hamburger?<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 227px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_10HzqOwU5wI/Sgsi5hPOYrI/AAAAAAAAADc/pZma1Ei4LGE/s320/BRIAN%2520GRIESE.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335396555120599730" />
At least he knew the answer to the last question.
So began the Brian Griese era, and the young fan was skeptical about the how the team would perform without their great leader. Could Griese keep the winning tradition together? The answer, was of course, no, just as the young fan had feared. Well, now we will start calling him a middle aged fan. Griese had a few bad years and then moved on to another team. It was a midlife crisis of sorts for the middle aged fan. He was trying to be totally sold out to his favorite team, but they were not exactly impressing him or doing anything to keep his confidence level up to where it should be. But he pressed on. He may have watched other teams, he may have rooted for some other quarterback on some other club, but his heart still belonged to the Broncos. At least most of it.
The came Jake “the snake” Plummer. The fan wasn’t getting any younger, and neither was Plummer. The fan was now very confused about what to do. Why Jake? What were the Broncos thinking? It seemed like a bad decision, at first, but it actually turned out well. Jake “the snake” looked better than he ever had in Arizona, and led the Broncos to the AFC Championship game in 2005, and it was in Denver. Once again, The Broncos disappointed the fan. He couldn’t believe that the Broncos had lost so badly when they had home field advantage, again. Jake “the snake” put the second nail in the coffin of this aging Bronco fan.<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_10HzqOwU5wI/SgsjVjJjHwI/AAAAAAAAADk/Ty0Hj_quLUo/s320/jake.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335397036670000898" />

Then, the answer came, the late life surge for this Bronco fan, so to speak. Jay Cutler. Jay replaced “the snake” the following season about 5 games in, and, although he kinda sucked it up that first season, it was kind of expected. Jay was going to be the next great thing in Denver. Denver had a good running game, and finally, they had a quarterback again. The now aged Bronco fan knew that this was what would keep his pulse going as a Bronco fan, and hard throwing quarterback. He took a couple of seasons to get set in, but, he finally did and the Broncos started 2008 with a 4-0 record and they were looking good (if you don’t care about defense). <img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_10HzqOwU5wI/Sgsjw2fmXBI/AAAAAAAAADs/csP0GKYUPyM/s320/Jay%2520Cutler.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335397505719229458" />
Then, Mr. Cutler made an offhand comment about having a stronger arm then Elway ever had, and yet another nail was put in the mans coffin. But he was willing to live with Mr. Cutler’s arrogance as long as the Cut kept winning. But the Cut did not keep winning. In fact, they were in first place from week 1 to week 16, and they blew in week 17 by getting blown out in Denver by the San Diego Chargers and their classy quarterback, Phillipe Rivers, who knew that somehow he deserved to win the game. And then the 2008 season was over.
At this point the man, now well into his late fan years, was very close to death. How could the Broncos do this to a man with a weak heart? What were they thinking sucking that bad to end the season? Where was his Metamucil? The man pondered these questions and more. And then, out of nowhere, the man died. April 25, 2009, the bronco fan in the man passed away. Well, it really wasn’t out of nowhere. It took a combination of the firing of Shanahan, the hiring of Coach McStupid,(pictured here)<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 273px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_10HzqOwU5wI/SgskBbIrVqI/AAAAAAAAAD0/4hjP-q9FN_c/s320/539w.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335397790433105570" />
the attempted acquiring of Matt Castle, the denial of said attempted acquiring, the stupid press conferences about the denial of said attempted acquiring, the talk about “Jay being our man”, the trading of the Cut, and finally the fact that Baylor scrimmaged the Bronco defense and scored 128 points against them and Coach McStupid drafted a running back in the first round. So maybe there was a reason why he died.<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 117px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_10HzqOwU5wI/SgskvD49RgI/AAAAAAAAAEE/Di93IZFLQkg/s200/solid-wood-coffins.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5335398574467139074" />
Either way, the bronco fan is dead, and he is not coming back, and he is ready to be re-born, he just needs to find a team to follow as religiously as he did the Broncos for all those years.

Thank You Very Much, Senator

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 192px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_10HzqOwU5wI/SfsETU82CwI/AAAAAAAAACc/u2d08RIc6UQ/s320/Senator-Arlen-Specter-c-w-002.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5330859314011048706" />
Senator Arlen Specter announced this week that he is changing from the Republican party to the Democrat party. His reason was that the Republican party has just gone too far to the right for him. This coming from a man who hasn't voted with the republicans since the carter administration. (slight exaggeration). I am slightly supprised that this is the reason that the senator gave, seeing that the Democrats are more to the left then they have ever been at any time in history. Does that mean that Senator Specter does not think that his new "buddies" are not to far to the left?
I think that this is the speech that the senator should have given.
(dramitization) "Good afternoon. I am here today to say that I am proud and even honered to tell you all that I am the most important thing in my life. I am the best thing that ever happened to me by far. Listening to myself talk sends chills down my leg, kind of like when Keith Olberman hears, sees or just thinks of Barak Obama. But enough about me. Oh, who am I kidding, more about me. I have advanced my career by totally screwing everyone who voted for me over and over again, so I must be pretty brilliant, which brings me to my point for this press confrence today. I have an approval rating of -50%, so, my chances of re-election as a republican looks pretty dim, and that would be a bad thing for me. I need to be re-elected because it is important to, well, me. I didn't even take into consideration all the money and support that I recieved from the republican party when I made this decision, as that would be thinking of someone else first, and I haven't done that since the Ford administration, and that was only by accident. Anyway, I am proud to announce that i have a much better shot of being elected as a democrat, so I am once again laughing in the face of all the people of Penn. that voted for me, all the republicans that supported me, and everyone that believed I believe in something other than myself. I do not, never have, and never will. I am 79 for crying out loud, why would I change now (well, except for changing party's, of course). This is the best thing for, well, me. I would like to thank me for making such a bold decision, and I would like to thank my good friends at MSNBC for their support during this great time in my life. It is a good feeling to no longer be a closet democrat, but to actually one. I can't wait to tell the guys at the next cocktail party.
In conclusion, I am awsome, and when you re-elect me as a democrat Pennsylvania, I will continue doing what is best for me and not caring about you. Thank me, and God Bless Me."

Federal agency warns of radicals on right

This was on the Drudge Report this morning and I thought it was worth a read. Man, they are scared to death of us.

By Audrey Hudson and Eli Lake, Tuesday, April 14, 2009
The Washington Times

The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in "rightwing extremist activity," saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias.

A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines "rightwing extremism in the United States" as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.

"It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration," the warning says.

The White House has distanced itself from the analysis. When asked for comment on its contents, White House spokesman Nick Shapiro said, "The President is focused not on politics but rather taking the steps necessary to protect all Americans from the threat of violence and terrorism regardless of its origins. He also believes those who serve represent the best of this country, and he will continue to ensure that our veterans receive the respect and benefits they have earned."

The nine-page document was sent to police and sheriff's departments across the United States on April 7 under the headline, "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment."

It says the federal government "will be working with its state and local partners over the next several months" to gather information on "rightwing extremist activity in the United States."

The joint federal-state activities will have "a particular emphasis" on the causes of "rightwing extremist radicalization."

Homeland Security spokeswoman Sara Kuban said the report is one in an ongoing series of assessments by the department to "facilitate a greater understanding of the phenomenon of violent radicalization in the U.S."

The report, which was first disclosed to the public by nationally syndicated radio host Roger Hedgecock, makes clear that the Homeland Security Department does not have "specific information that domestic rightwing terrorists are currently planning acts of violence."It warns that fringe organizations are gaining recruits, but it provides no numbers.

The report says extremist groups have used President Obama as a recruiting tool.

"Most statements by rightwing extremists have been rhetorical, expressing concerns about the election of the first African American president, but stopping short of calls for violent action," the report says. "In two instances in the run-up to the election, extremists appeared to be in the early planning stages of some threatening activity targeting the Democratic nominee, but law enforcement interceded."

When asked about this passage, Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said, "We are concerned about anybody who will try to harm or plan to harm any one of our protectees. We don't have the luxury to focus on one particular group at the exclusion of others."

Congressional debates about immigration and gun control also make extremist groups suspicious and give them a rallying cry, the report says.

"It is unclear if either bill will be passed into law; nonetheless, a correlation may exist between the potential passage of gun control legislation and increased hoarding of ammunition, weapons stockpiling, and paramilitary training activities among rightwing extremists," the report said.

The FBI was quoted Monday as saying that, since November, more than 7 million people have applied for criminal background checks in order to buy weapons.

The Homeland Security report added: "Over the past five years, various rightwing extremists, including militias and white supremacists, have adopted the immigration issue as a call to action, rallying point, and recruiting tool."

The report could signify a change in emphasis for Homeland Security under former Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano. A German magazine quoted Ms. Napolitano as rebranding "terrorism" as "man-made disasters." Since its inception in 2003, the department has focused primarily on radicalization of Muslims and the prospect of homegrown Islamist terrorism.

In January, the same DHS office released a report titled "Leftwing extremists likely to increase use of cyber attacks over the coming decade."

"These types of reports are published all the time. There have actually been some done on the other end of the spectrum, left-wing," Ms. Kuban said.

A similar headline was used in a report issued in January, Ms. Kuban said, although she could not provide the content of the headline.

Ms. Kuban said she did not know how long the new report had been in the making.

"The purpose of the report is to identify risk. This is nothing unusual," said Ms. Kuban, who added that the Homeland Security Department did this "to prevent another Tim McVeigh from ever happening again."

The Homeland Security assessment specifically says that "rightwing extremists will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat."

Jerry Newberry, director of communications for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, said the vast majority of veterans are patriotic citizens who would not join anti-government militias.

"As far as our military members go, I think that the military is a melting pot of society. So you might get a few, a fractional few, who are going to be attracted by militia groups and other right-wing extremists," he said.

"We have to remember that the people serving in our military are volunteers, they do it because they love their country, and they believe in what our country stands for," he said. "They spent their time in the military defending our Constitution, so the vast majority of them would be repulsed by the hate groups discussed in this report."

The Homeland Security report cited a 2008 FBI report that noted that a small number of returning military veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have joined extremist groups.

The FBI report said that from October 2001 through May 2008 "a minuscule" number of veterans, 203 out of 23,000, had joined groups such as the Ku Klux Klan, Aryan Nations, the National Socialist Movement, the Creativity Movement, the National Alliance and some skinhead groups.

"Although the white supremacist movement is of concern to the FBI, our assessment shows that only a very small number of people with prior military experience may have an affiliation with supremacist groups," FBI spokesman Richard Kolko said Monday when asked about the FBI report.

A 2006 report from the Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization that monitors white supremacists like the Klan, said that white-power groups had an interest in the kind of training the military provides.

Mark Potok, director of the center's intelligence project, said the Homeland Security report "confirms that white supremacists are interested in the military. There is some concern, and there should be, about returning veterans, one need only think of the example of Timothy McVeigh, who was in the first Iraq war."

Mr. Potok added that he was generally pleased with the report.

"Basically, the report tracks fairly closely with what we have been saying for some time now. They mention us a couple of times, though not by name," he said.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/apr/14/federal-agency-warns-of-radicals-on-right/

Texas Sovereignty

Horray for Cuba!!!

”How can we help President Obama?”
This was a question asked by none other than Fidel Castro to the THREE democrat members of the congress who went to Havana to talk to the ruthless dictator. Why are members of the United States Congress going to Havana you might ask? To talk to the dictator about lifting the embargo from Cuba so we can start trading with them again. The congress people said the meeting went very well and they thought it was time to begin opening the door to trade with Cuba again. They believe the new Communist dictator, Raul Castro, is serious about having normal relations with the United States. You don’t say?
Basically, these three Obama supporters want to bring socialism to America and (besides the ruthless, murderous sides of him) they think the Castro’s are alright guys. I, for one, am perfectly happy with the embargo staying on Cuba. Call me heartless, call me an evil republican, call me a nativist, it wouldn’t be the first time. In my opinion, President Obama wants nothing more than to be a dictator that rules the country for the rest of his life. Apparently, his plan is to run the economy so far into the ground that we will all be willing to do anything to get it back again, even elect king obama. But Obama is forgetting something. There are a lot of people that do not want the government to run every aspect of their lives. In fact, we want the government to pretty much leave us the hell alone. I have a right to set my own thermostat to what ever I want, I have a right to own a gun, I have a right to health care without the governments help, and I have a right NOT to have health insurance. I can pay for it all by myself. We already have programs for people who can’t pay for it, we don’t need more programs, we need less government. I will give the government one thing, though, they are way better at one thing than anyone else (maybe besides Bernie Maydoff), and that is spending money. This administration can sure do that.
So, to get back on point, will we lift the embargo on Cuba? Absolutely. Will President Obama try to make everything controlled by the government? Yes. Will president Obama try to take over the country and become the first American King? Probably not, but I wouldn’t put it past him. And what do I want? I want the free market to be free again.

First Pitch

It was good to see President Bush 43 out and about again, especially in Arlington. I have been keeping up with what they have been doing during the off season and Spring Training and I am hopeful for the first time since I have been following the team full time. The Rangers have the number one ranked minor league system in all of baseball and they have a plethora of young talent at the major league level. If they can just get 3 of the 5 starters to have a good season, I believe they can be a playoff team this season. Alot of people probably think I am crazy, and I might be, but I believe that it can happen this season. The Rangers under team president Nolan Ryan have a new philosophy in which they are actually going to make their pitchers pitch. I will probably do a few posts over the next few weeks about the Rangers, so, if you hate baseball, sorry.

link

http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEZB4taSEoA

sorry, here is the link.

This guy is awsome!

Finally, somebody said what we all are thinking about the plan to help out people who can't afford their mortgage. President Obama’s administration is already riddled with more scandal that the Bush administration ever was in 8 years, and Obama has only been in office for less than a month. How are we supposed to trust anything the President does if he doesn’t even check up on any of the people that he appoints to important cabinet positions? I think that the President is starting to realize that this job is a little more difficult than he first imagined it would be. His press secretary is a joke who only answers questions with platitudes and catch phrases. I am not saying by any stretch of the imagination that the Bush administration was perfect, but Obama is already been involved in more political scandal than Bush ever did. I hope things change, but I am really starting to doubt it.

My Superbowl pick

I tried to think of a effective, scientific way to approach thinking about and eventually picking who I believe will win the Superbowl. I know that the Cardinals are the favorite because they score a lot of points during a game, but what did the Eagles almost do to them. The Cardinals defense allowed the Eagles to come back and take the lead in the 4th quarter. Of course, they trounced the Panthers, but any team (except maybe the Cowboys) could trounce a team that spotted them six turnovers. While their offense is very good, I believe that the Steelers defense is better. They have been nothing short of amazing this season. One of the Steelers main problems, in my humble opinion, is that they are kind of like the San Antonio Spurs in basketball, that is, boring. In this fast pace society, nobody wants to see the defensive team win it all. I also believe that the majority of the country will be rooting for the Cardinals because it is the first time they made it to the Superbowl, but is that really a reason to root for a team? You also can't overlook the fact that Omar Epps/Mike Tomlin is only the third coach in Steelers franchise history and that he is the first black one. I don't think that makes much of a difference, but I thought I should throw it in there in case I have some readers that might be offended if I don't mention that. Was it the general public? No. Was it the congress as a whole? No. Was it America’s enemies, or was it America’s democrat party? Actually, it was both of them. Am I the only person in this great nation that believes it is a bad thing to set terrorists free, or, worse, bring them here? I don’t think I am the only one. But President Obama has decided to make one of his first orders of business as president to close Gitmo and figure out what to do with the detainees later. So if you are keeping score at home, the score is America’s enemies – 1, America – 0 under president Obama. If you keep score by day, for George W. Bush it was America’s enemies – 1, and America 7 years, 364 days. We are losing to the enemy for the first time since the war on terror began. But who is keeping count, right? If President Obama does everything he promised he would do, we will be attacked here at home again sooner than we thought, and he won’t have Bush to blame that one on. Lets all pray that President Obama somehow see’s the light and comes to the realization that keeping America safe is not only a good idea, it is his JOB.

T.O. anyone?

I guess that Cardinals wide out anquan boldin was trying to be like Terrell Owens when he blew up at his offensive coordinator and left the game before the celebration even started. I can't imagine why else a player would do that, unless, of course he was just a dirt bag to begin with. Players who are all about their own stats way more than the team have always irritated the mess out of me, but to do it on the national stage in the biggest game in your franchise's history is inexcusable. And, I know, he came out today and said that this wouldn't be a distraction for the Super Bowl in two weeks, and I actually believe him. Why would it be? NFL coaches and owners have gotten used to the Terrell Owens, anquan boldins and Randy Moss's of the world. It is becoming a part of the football experience to have a stuck up overestimated as a wide out. The only question I have is where will he play next season, when, I wish the question was simply WILL he play next season. This kind of attitude is so prevalent because owners, players and coaches let it be prevalent.
